OPEN LETTER TO HONORABLE BARRISTER PAULY ONYEKA, REPRESENTING EKWUSIGO CONSTITUENCY AT ANAMBRA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY ON THE POSTING OF YOUTHS FOR NYSC TO THE VOLATILE NORTH. Dear sir, Please, be informed that the whole South Eastern states house of assembly have failed the youths to address the issue of NYSC posting our youths to the volatile north. Throughout last week and this week, my humble self and a pan igbo group, OGANIRU NDI IGBO FOUNDATION championed this course through the media and every other arsenals to stop NYSC from posting our kids/brethren to the volatile northern part of the country. Lagos and Ogun state House of Assemblies followed our path while you people kept deaf ears to our course. This is highly irresponsible of all of you that is representing us and it's unacceptable because we gave you people our mandate. Only early this week, the moron that claimed to be Minister of youth development decided to weigh down our victory after we have successfully gotten justice, through our own brothers in the house of representatives. As they made it clear that those posted to the volatile north should be redeployed which the director of NYSC obliged. We implore you people to rise up to your challenges and take a stand now. No South easterner should be posted for NYSC to serve in the volatile north where the president himself refused to visit. it is inhuman and an infringement on the fundamental human rights to life for my people. The affected people should as a matter of urgency be redeployed to safe places. we also wish to demand for the resignation of the minister of youths development for his references on the civil war, because he seems to be a sadist. Note that the law establishing NYSC only stated that intending NYSC members should be posted outside their state of origin and not to a particular state. therefore, people from Anambra can be posted to Edo state. yes, thats where i served. people from imo state can be posted to lagos state.No Nigerian should be made to be sacrificial lambs to the cowards in the North. As Governor of Borno state made it clear that he lacks work force, he should give full employment to his people and not looking for cheap labor. youths are not slaves.
